The Thompson Island Ferry Outward Bound makes several round-trip runs per day from the Thompson Island dock in Boston Harbor, South Boston directly to Thompson Island. It is about a 25-minute crossing. There are no restrooms on the ferry. It is free of charge and open to the public (except on certain days which don't affect Boston Harbor Scottish Fiddle School attendees).
